Fat Bottom Girl Said What

When my ass talks, people listen.

I see you there

falling in love with her brokenness

wanting to be her savior

casting demons from her

so she’ll prostrate herself at your feet

like some sort of Mary Magdalene

There will be no

second coming for you

no resurrection

though you imagine yourself a god among men

She is far stronger and wiser

than a table full of men will ever give her credit for

both sinner and saint

she will never ask forgiveness

for the destruction men have left her with

and she needs no saving from you

A very poignant piece. Although it made me feel uncomfortable, which I associate to me being male, I fully endorse the message within the body of the work.

If God was/is to be idolized, surely it was to include both males & females alike and on the same level?

Historically, a woman’s burdens were not to be spoken off. For that, history will represent the injustice of the times. As a male, I have learned and acknowledged the historical wrongs of our society and belief systems. As a person, I look forward to lessen the burdens of old.

I am but a man whom is determined to grow and become a better man.

    • I saw a tweet today that said something like, “Be glad women only want equality, and not revenge.”

I think even men who can acknowledge they have male privilege, still don’t even truly understand what women deal with.

  2. Brilliant and beautiful!
